Answer
For definitions of rho and theta, see the STK Help topic Radar Cross Section Theta/Rho Definitions .

Computing rho and theta
In STK, you can calculate rho using a Between Vectors angle in STK's Analysis Workbench capability.
You can model theta by creating a Dihedral Angle in Analysis Workbench. With the Dihedral Angle, theta is forced to live entirely in the Body YZ plane. These figures show how to specify the angles in Analysis Workbench.

Visualize and Report
To visualize the angles in the 3D Graphics window:
  1. Go to the Aircraft Properties > 3D Graphics > Vector window.
  2. Select the Angles tab.
  3. Select the Show check box for the rho and theta angles you created in Analysis Workbench.
  4. If you want to also see the dihedral angle supporting arcs, select the "Show dihedral angle supporting arcs" check box.
To report or graph the values of rho and theta, create a custom report or graph with data providers from the Angles group. By adding Time, RCS_Rho, and RCS_Theta, you can create a data display/report or generate a graph.
